Welcome to the 2010 OYSAN State Cup!

On this page you will find important information with respect to this year’s State Cup tournament. First and foremost, OYSAN considers the schedule, as posted, to be final. All games must be played as scheduled by OYSAN. Conflict requests by teams were not & will not be entertained nor will requests for changes to the posted schedule (from coaches, team officials or team parents) be entertained at this point. It is impossible for OYSAN to accommodate the many conflicts teams may have. Thus, please do not call, email or request game changes. However, if you are a coach or team official of a team participating in this year’s tournament and you feel scheduling errors have been made or if, for whatever reason, games are missing, please contact OYSAN.

PRE-TOURNAMENT GAMES:
(Due to the size of this year’s tournament, pre-tournament games became necessary in multiple age groups. Pre-tournament games are identified on the schedule as games between the dates of 4-30-10 & 5-13-10.)

If your team has games scheduled between 4-30-10 and 5-13-10, the home team manager will receive a check from OYSAN to cover the referee fees for these games at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled game(s). The Team Manager must cash the check(s) and present cash to the officials prior to the start of your game(s). The entire payment must be provided to the center referee before your game starts. The referees have been instructed not to start any game until they’ve received their referee payment in the form of cash.

Referee payment should be split as outlined below. The referees will not accept personal checks.

GAME REPORTS AND OTHER INSTRUCTIONS: 

1. OYSAN Staff/Personnel will not be on-site for play-in or pre-tournament games.
2. Please be at your game at least 30 minutes prior to kick-off.
3. The Center Referee, OYSAN or the Field Owner dictates whether or not a field is playable. Coaches and/or Team Mangers do not get to make these decisions!
4. You must have your team’s laminated player and coach passes at your game(s).
5. Your OYSAN Official State Cup Game Report Form and your team’s laminated player and coach passes must be presented to the center referee before the start of your game.
6. The center referee shall keep the passes and the game reports of both teams for the duration of the game.
7. A copy of the Official OYSAN State Cup Game Report Form is available at www.oysan.org. THIS REPORT MUST BE FILLED OUT IN ITS ENTIREY PRIOR TO YOUR MATCH AND BE PROVIDED TO THE CENTER REFEREE BEFORE YOUR GAME. Immediately following your game, the winning team’s manager or coach must collect both game reports from the center referee and fax BOTH game reports to OYSAN’s State Office. Our fax number is 330-659-0993. Also, mail both game reports to OYSAN State Cup c/o 3554 Brecksville Road, S-100, Richfield, OH 44286 within 24 hours of the completed game so that the scores of these games can be accurately reported on our website by OYSAN Staff/Personnel. Failure to fax and mail the Pre-Tournament Game Reports may result in a $100 fine for each offense and/or the disqualification of the winning team.

FORFEITS:

Keep in mind that all teams who forfeit a State Cup match will be required to pay a minimum forfeit fine of $500 per game forfeited.

REFEREES:
OYSAN will schedule all referees for all State Cup games. For Pre-Tournament Games, OYSAN will send payment for the referees to the team managers of the home team for games scheduled between 4-30-10 through 5-13-10.

SPORTSMANSHIP:
We anticipate the State Cup Tournament to be extremely competitive. Keep in mind that the aspect of sportsmanship is very important during the State Cup competition. Any inappropriate conduct by players, coaches, team officials and parents will not be tolerated by OYSAN. We wish all of you the best of luck in this year’s competition.
