OYSAN Centers of Excellence 2006-2007 Fee Structure (PDF)
The OYSAN Center of Excellence (COE) program is designed to train U-9/10 players or U-11/12 players in a game-based environment.
The COE features between six and eight 2-hour training sessions, typically spread over the course of a season. The major technical emphases include: dribbling and ball control; kicking skills; individual initiative; support around the ball; defending individually, and in small groups; transition; game awareness; and soccer fitness. Approximately 75% of each session
utilizes competitive games between 1v1 and 4v4+1.
The COE program also provides for an excellent, practical, hands-on approach to coach-education with course materials, training sessions, and on-going mentoring provided by the Head Trainer. “Assistant coaches” are expected to oversee small groups and participate in training activities. No additional classroom sessions are required to attain the U-9/12 Module, but coaches must attend all sessions.
Up to four U-9/10 teams (36 players) and eight coaches can be effectively trained within the COE program.
Only three COE’s are scheduled each season. For more information, contact Tom Turner by phone at (216) 496-4683 or by e-mail at coaching@oysan.org.
