  Frank Talk about Costs...
• A monetary value exists for insurance that indemnifies your Directors and Officers (Board and Volunteers). The policy insures that an attorney, expert in matters that a league/club may face is hired, and the case defended. Any costs, fines, or penalty will be paid by the insurer, not the club. This insurance is designed by soccer people to cover catastrophic soccer occurrences—lightning striking multiple players, food poisoning, falling bleachers.
• For parents, if Mary Player has a $10,000 injury, our insurance pays all but $500. If Mary’s parents have insurance, the OYSAN policy becomes the secondary carrier, with all but $500 paid. If Mary’s parents have no insurance, the OYSAN covers the entire amount, except $500. The injury can be up to $100,000 in costs. For parents, the cost of insurance alone, if their child is injured, is worth the price.
• Lowering the cost of travel for recreational parents, players and coaches by having services such as the Center of Excellence and Summer Camp located around the state. Frankly, OYSAN services go to OYSAN members. In the long run, by having services locally provided, coaches and players benefit, saving money to parents.

OYSAN brings clubs and leagues into the state, national and international arena providing protections for players, coaches, volunteers...

• Inclusion in the Risk Management (formerly KidSafe) program. All registered coaches and volunteers who work directly with kids are checked annually in the National Sex Offender Registry as well as national background checks for felonyconvictions and DUI’s.
• Membership in the United States Soccer Federation, the National Governing Body of soccer in this country
• Membership in US Youth Soccer, the largest youth sports organization in the world with access to the annual workshop, publications, and input in the direction of recreational soccer in this country
• Membership in OYSAN, with the ability to affect change as a voting member of the state association, impacting growth and change
• Referees will be doing sanctioned games—important in their insurance and protection through USSF
